The WRNS BT helps former members of the WRNS—any female who served between 1939 and 1993 is a member of the Trust (approx. 143,000 women). Surprisingly there are many former Wrens who know little or nothing about the Trust and its work, so we would like to help remedy this by asking for volunteers who would be willing to act as representatives of the Trust around the country, who would be willing to engage with fundraising, give talks to explain our work and act as a point of contact for the General Secretary.
Branches and members of the Association are a great help but we need volunteers who will act specifically for the WRNS BT in their area. We will help you by arranging for local induction training, meeting other ambassadors and making sure that you have the most up to date information about the WRNS BT and what we are doing to help. Reasonable expenses will be covered by the Trust.
We currently have a team of 12 ambassadors and would like to expand particularly into Wales and the west of the country.
We want your help to make the WRNS BT every former Wrens favorite charity!
